Two Party System Alive in Felton
As you probably know by now, on August 4, 1996, Beth Fizell and Paul Gumerman
took the plunge and said their I Do's. It was a small ceremony in
the garden at The Farmhouse in Wilmington, Delaware. The reception afterward
was truly a celebration, with great sushi, great music, and great people
to share it all with.
In this political season, we decided that we should exercise the Two
Party System (apologies to the Liberatarian Party & Ross Perot),
and have a really informal Bash in Felton. So, come join us on September
21, from 2pm 'til whenever?? You're welcome to bring:
bathing suits & pool towels
partners & kids
musical instruments (be prepared for the jam on the deck)
earplugs (if you're not really into jamming on the deck)
You may want to make a weekend of it - The Eastern Shore is fantastic
in September, big on fireflies, and generally low on mosquitos. There's:
Lewes with its historic sites and great B&Bs, and the Cape May ferries
(about 35 min. away),
Rehoboth with great restaurants and 100 shopping outlets (about 45 min.),
Dover has slots at Dover Downs (about 15 min.)
The beautiful Chesapeake Bay
Or stop by Andy's
in Chestertown:, MD on Friday night
for great music in a relaxed coffeehouse atmosphere (B&Bs nearby).
Antique shops all over the Eastern Shore.
Or, if you're into the real festival experience, we have 5 acres of ground
right here at the house - you're welcome to pitch a tent and brave the elements.
